EXPLORING THE LAZIO WILDERNESS.
Earlier this year we found some unexpectedly pretty villages tucked away up the Lepini Mountains, and one in particular had an abundance of blue-green doors...I mean a lot!
The village of Carpineto Romano. We will tell you about the history of it later but for now I just wanted to share these lovely coloured doors with you, especially as turquoise is one of our favourite colours! Apparently the reason is to avoid the village looking 'messy', so everyone has to stick to a certain colour scheme. In Ronciglione, for example, residents can either have brown doors and shutters, or grey.
