You might not own a vintage car but driving on the famous Mille Miglia (1000 Mile) route - especially if you choose to do this mid-May when the actual race takes place - is a quirky alternative to regular sightseeing and something very different to tell the folks back home!
This is an 'Escorted Driving' itinerary where you will be the protagonist in your own tour! You will be driving along the area's most attractive roads, which follows the exact Mille Miglia route, enjoy breakfast overlooking the Vallelunga race track and lunch in an excellent country restaurant.
There will be two route options, but for now we have set up the one north of Rome.
Since this is a tailored itinerary your start location can be from the centre of Rome or outside of Rome at a suitable pre-agreed meeting point. Afterwards, if you are returning to Rome, we can either escort you all the way back in (if you prefer an escorted navigation through the city traffic), or say farewell at the morning meeting point or other location to fit with your schedule.
If you prefer not to drive yourself we can arrange for you to travel in a chauffeured limo or 9-seater minivan with pick-up/drop-off at your hotel or at an agreed location, accompanied by at least one of our team.
The length can be tailored to fit your schedule but the section of the route we propose would require approx 6 hours.
As this is a totally tailored experience, prices will be depended upon inclusions, time/distance, any guided visits, and so forth. We invite you to fill in our Trip Planning Form (we will send a link following your initial inquiry), and go from there.
How It Works
The Route Options
We will eventually have two variations of this historical vintage/antique car race. The routes both afford beautiful scenery, plus great food & wine alone the way.
