An irresistible Renaissance romp around Rome as the Borgia story unfolds and the charismatic figures come to life!
Rodrigo Borgia: pope, father, lover, patron of the arts and famous for the following quotes: "Never have mercy for those who won't help themselves." and "Oh what would Rome be without a plot?" We are excited to offer this well-researched fun "Borgia" private walking tour - and to be among the first to offer this tour in Rome - giving you an alternative aspect of life in Rome in the 15th century where you will get a glimpse into the personal life of one of the Vatican's most controversial popes.
You will visit locations of the Borgia pope's power, where is mistress lived and worked, palaces that he had built and eventually the place where he died. This is a very colourful insight into the period, which also covers the fascinating subjects of courtesans and Renaissance cuisine - what the Borgia's would have been eating! You will have chance to enjoy a delicious break for cappuccino & cake on the very spot where one of the sons of the Borgia Pope was murdered and will sample one or two products from a bakery in the same location as one of the Borgia mistresses' workshops. And where better to end your tour than just a few steps from the Magnificent Colosseum. If you've seen either of the recent Borgia TV series', this tour is a must! Note: We also offer an exclusive Borgia's Out of Rome tour for private groups. Vertical Divider
